Paper Airplane Jet Fighter - About: Hello! My name is Joe and welcome to my page! I'll have tutorials on a variety of things that any DIY lover will appreciate! If you need a tutorial (preferably a thread called ``More About Joe_Tutorials'')

Learn how to fold an amazing Origami F-15! This model is as good as the F-16 and easy to build. Watch the video above and follow the instructions for a more detailed video and audio tutorial. Anyone can learn it and your friends will love it! So let's get started!

I use standard (US) printer paper, 8.5 by 11 inches. First make the layer "hotdog style" and then unfold. Next, fold and unfold the top edge about half an inch from the bottom edge. Now fold the diagonals as shown. The two bottom edges should be parallel, and the crease should pass through the center point. Do this in both directions, then unfold.

Today we will make a modified water bomb base. Take the horizontal fold and fold it tightly. Then gently press the center point. From here take the two opposite ends of the ridge and slowly draw it. Then press the whole thing flat to finish the crease.

First, move both wings to the side just to get out of the way. Then fold the right side into the center crease. Turn the paper 90 degrees to the left, then fold the tail edge to the top corner as shown.

Move both wings up, then rotate the entire paper 180 degrees. Repeat the previous step on this side.

Before shaping the wings, this step reinforces them. Open the wings, they will be on both sides, then turn 90 degrees to the left. Fold the edges to both sides as shown. The fold should be very narrow but strongly folded.

Move both wings to the left and turn the aircraft 90 degrees. Then align the top wing to the point on the tail (I show in the third picture) so that the inner edge of the wing makes a perfect 90 angle with the tail edge. There should be a small flap at the base of the wing (Figure 5). Fold it and press it firmly.

Move both wings down as shown and fold the tail edge inward. Then fold the wings back and turn the plane 180 degrees.

Repeat the steps in step 6: Fold the wings as described, then fold the bottom panel. Then repeat step 7 to finish the tail. Level the plane and rotate 90 counterclockwise.

Flip the plane over and you'll notice two small tabs on either side of the nose. Fold them in as much as possible. Then fold in the middle of the valley and place the plane as shown in the last picture.

About 3/4 of the way up from the bottom of the plane, take the top layer of the wing and tail and fold it parallel to the base. Fold it very tightly. After that, repeat the plane again and again, making sure to keep the level of the two folds.

At this stage, keep the wings above 90 degrees. Then use your fingernails to lift one of the upper flaps (the ones that cover the tail) and press it down to make it completely vertical.

Take a small section of the wing tip (about 1/4 inch from the edge of the wing) and fold it vertically. Do this on both wings, keeping symmetry in mind.

This last step can be a little tricky depending on how much you folded the plane. Inside these two tabs folded in at step 9 is a small pocket. You can insert a tab in a pocket into another tab. It can find the plane properly during flight, but it must fly without this step.

In this tutorial, I'll show you how to fold this amazing original F-16! This model doesn't look that difficult to fold, so don't be put off by its complicated appearance. It's a shame that this particular plane doesn't fly much, but it's not amazing. To see my youtube video on how to make the same model, click on How to Fold an Origami F-16 for a slightly easier to follow tutorial. So let's get started!

My printer paper is usually 8.5x11 inches. Fold it in half, or as some people say, open it hotdog style.

Fold the top right corner as shown in the image above, then unfold. Repeat in the upper left corner, then open.

There should be a point where the center crease and two diagonals meet. Fold the paper so that the new fold line also crosses this point. Then turn it back on.

Try to keep the folds straight. It doesn't have to be a quarter of an inch, but that's a close approximation.

Again, not sure. Make it straight and preferably larger than the top edge of the last step.

If you've never done it before, this step may seem a bit complicated, but it's actually quite simple. The steps are shown in the pictures above. If you really don't get it, watch the video at the top of the movie's page. It will be easier to follow there.

Move the two wing flaps to the left to begin. Then fold the right side into the center crease as shown in the second picture.

Take the first wing shell on the left and fold its edge into the center slit like the tail in the previous step. Then fold the two wing shells right side out.

Make the left tail as described in step 7, then make the wings as shown in step 8. When done, fold the two wings right side out.

Take the top wing and pull it until it is as shown in the picture. The angle between the bottom of the wing and the edge of the plane should be almost a right angle. Then fold the left tail flap as shown.

Impressive Paper Airplanes

Fold the edges of the paper as shown in the first picture. Then fold the tail piece to the underside of the tail. When done, fold both wings to the left.

Repeat steps 10 and 11 on the right side of the plane. Make sure the wings are folded in the same shape and size. When done, unfold the wings so that there is one on each side.

Inside the reverse fold is the entire main body. It's hard to imagine, so if the pictures above don't do it for you, I recommend watching the video. After completing this step, make sure the folds are very tight.

Inside, fold the same piece of paper in the opposite direction. It should be the same difficulty as the last one.

How To Make The Best Paper Planes

In the first picture, I drew two pencil marks: one under the cockpit area and one halfway up the rear of the fuselage. Holding only the top wing and tail, fold along the imaginary line between these two points. This should be a very strong fold. Repeat this over and over, making sure both sides are roughly the same fold. Symmetry is key when making paper airplanes.

Slowly bend both wings until they are 90 degrees to the fuselage. For better flight, they should be bent slightly higher. Next, pull the two wings apart to give the plane a more realistic look. This will look like the final image when you've completed this step.

Fold the wing tip into the wing. It will help your plane fly more and make it look great!
