After firefighters from multiple communities battled three fires at Armata's Plaza in Longmeadow, Massachusetts on Tuesday, Armata's Market welcomed the community's first responders.

Photos and video from the scene showed the fire as the Longmeadow Fire Department and other fire departments were called to assist.
"After a difficult morning, we are grateful that no one was injured and that all employees are safe," the Facebook post said.
"We are working to invite people who ordered online for Thanksgiving," the Facebook post read. "If anyone has ordered from the store and is interested in some of the food we have (because it's stored on location), please text us or call 413-382-0024."
Hundreds of community members expressed their condolences, some saying they didn't want the company to handle their gratitude process. "We are fine," the statement said. "Mind your own business."

"The building collapsed shortly after we arrived," Longmeadow Fire Chief John Dearborn said. "For whatever reason, he started us early so we were behind the eight from the start."

A preliminary investigation into a fire that engulfed five businesses at the Maple Center Shopping Plaza in Longmeadow in the days before Thanksgiving found that the fire was not "suspicious or malicious in origin," authorities said Wednesday.
The fire appears to have started in a common room above the store, where it quickly spread without warning, Longmeadow and state fire officials said.
The fire on the morning of 11/23 destroyed five businesses - Armata Market, Bottle Shop, Iron Chef Asian Cuisine, Longmeadow Salon and Dream Nail and Spa - which employed 74 people. The space was a central shopping center for the Greater Longmeadow area and its loss was "heartbreaking," residents said.

Depending on the extent of the fire's destruction, a full investigation could take several weeks, said Longmeadow Fire Chief John Dearborn and State Fire Marshal Peter Ostroskey. But Dearborn said in a statement Wednesday that officials want to reassure the public that initial findings show no signs of foul play and arson.
According to the fire investigators, after the fire broke out on top of a bottle on Armat Square, it burned in the tower for at least several minutes. Due to its age, the building does not have a fire sprinkler system or a full alarm system. Both would have reduced the damage caused by the fire, authorities said.
Dearborn and Ostroskey said it took five minutes for Longmeadow firefighters to arrive at the scene when the department was notified of the fire. When they reached the stadium, the roof of the bottle had partially collapsed, and the fire had spread to the Armata Market.
Since the fire on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, a local business has been working for the Longmeadow area to keep more than 70 jobs out of five businesses.

A GoFundMe started by Bill Collins, owner of East Longmeadow's Center Square Grill, has raised nearly $50,000. The goal, Collins said, is to raise $1,000 per employee before Christmas.
